If you are a dissatisfied customer with the product purchased on the Internet, learn what rights you have:

When buying a product from an online store, it is a good idea to check and what the return of the products displayed on the site provides.
According to the Romanian legislation in force, companies that run online stores are required to display the "Product Return Policy" on the site.
The law that makes this possible and which regulates the conditions in which it is applied is Emergency Ordinance 34/2014 on the legal regime of distance contracts.

 

How long does it take to return the product?
Pursuant to Emergency Ordinance 34/2014, Article 9, as a dissatisfied client, you are entitled to return the product within 14 calendar days of the time you have taken possession of it.

 

What products cannot be returned?
You do not have the right to return products in the following cases, pursuant to Emergency Ordinance 34/2014, Article 16, letters c and e.
c) providing products made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized;
(e) the supply of sealed products which cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons and which have been unsealed by the consumer;

 

When do you get the money back?
The law also provides that you are entitled to receive within 14 calendar days the full amount you paid for the purchase of the product, less the amount of the shipment (if the shipment was not free of charge).
If you have received a product other than the one you requested (although the product specifications are clearly provided within the order you placed on the online store site), you have the right to return the product without additional costs (the company being obliged to bear the transport costs).


What responsibilities do you have as a buyer?
Unfortunately, there are few buyers who are aware that they have certain responsibilities that they must respect.
So, you are obliged to keep the original product box and packaging, all the accessories that accompanied it, as well as the technical data sheet or other documentation, if delivered together with the product. The product must be returned to the merchant with these.
Also, the product you return must be returned to the merchant in the original condition in which it was received, without suffering damage due to improper use.
Careful! The distance shopping law provisions no longer apply if you do not have the patience to go and pick up the product directly from the headquarters of the company even if you purchased it from the online store site.
